  1. Introduction

    My name is Colin Martin, I’m a sophomore in High school I already have a big sum of money saved up for a car I babysit most weekends for money I have a summer job (swim coach for little kids) No parental financial aid
  2. What car and why? The car that I’m going to get is a Used 2003 Nissan 350Z Performance Coupe 2D with a amped up sound system It has 104,265 miles and runs great $9,375 I want this car because it looks great and is fast
  3. How will I pay for car, gas, maintenance I will pay for car with the money I already have and the money from my new summer job. I will pay for the gas, maintenance fees, and insurance with the babysitting job I have during the school year.
  4. What type of financing will I have? I will not finance anything. I will take all the money I have and the money I will earn over the summer and buy the car in full so I don’t have to worry about interest. If I were to finance I would probably go to my parents, negotiate a plan with them (without interest) and type up a contract.
  5. What types of insurance do I need? I would get 4 types of insurance: Bodily Injury Liability Property Liability Comprehensive & Collision Uninsured Motorist Coverage
  6. How will I maintain my car? I will maintain my car by taking it in the shop every 5,000-10,000 miles or when needed especially because it already has almost 100,000 miles on it I will drive cautiously I will change oil and other car parts (that need changing) every 3,000 miles or when needed. Iwill change tires when the tread is worn off
