SIG Update • Smart Metering: Creation of a SMSG & SMWG. • SMWG consists of a Customer Focus Group, Technology Focus Group, plus a Programme Management Function. • Analysis of IT systems to determine customer switching capacity. • Capable of handling 3000-4000 switches per month. Total capacity of 90,000. Three year timeframe to implement an enduring market solution. • Utility Regulator will be publishing a retail market competition report by end of April.
