  1. Steam Room Vs. Sauna: Is There a Better Choice? Steam room vs. sauna - which is better? Although steam rooms and saunas both provide extremely high temperatures, the type of heat and some of their benefits are different. Lets look at the differences between a steam room vs. a sauna, and even some similarities. Differences A steam room uses a generator with boiling water to create the steam. The air inside a steam room is so damp that water will condense on the walls. The humidity in a steam room is extremely high, building to 100 percent. An average temperature for a steam room is between 110 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. From your sweat not evaporating, you will feel much hotter. Steam rooms are known to alleviate congestion and to help with allergies. Due to the high condensation and humidity, steam rooms are made from materials such as tile. The average time to spend in a steam room is around 15 to 20 minutes. Steam rooms are also great for your skin, because the high humidity will cause

  2. you to sweat, which results in opening up your pores and clearing up your skin. Steam rooms are known for making your skin shine! A sauna uses a wood, gas, or electric stove with heated rocks to create the opposite affect that a steam room has. A sauna creates a very low humidity and a very dry environment. Saunas have a vent that brings in fresh air, which lowers the amount of humidity. Some saunas use infrared light instead of using traditional radiant heat. Saunas will appear much hotter, with temperatures ranging from 160 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, with a humidity level of five percent to thirty percent. However, like it was mentioned above, the steam room's humidity will make you feel just as hot. The average time recommended to spend in a indoor traditional sauna is around 5 to 10 minutes at a time. A lot of people will take cooling breaks in between, allowing them to have a few visits. In an infrared sauna, you can spend around 20 minutes, giving you more time to relax. Similarities As you can see, there are many differences between steam rooms and saunas, so lets take a moment to look at the

  3. similarities. Both steam rooms and saunas have many therapeutic benefits, such as muscle relaxation, relieving stress, and minimizing muscle tension. The main difference between the two would be the temperature and humidity, so depending on if you have a condition where you can't take a lot of humidity, then you'll most likely be receiving a lot of the same benefits from both. So which is better? Steam room vs. sauna? That all depends on what you prefer... Do you like to sweat which opens up your pores and will really help your skin? Do you just want a place to relax and ease your body and mind? Does humidity aggravate you or do you thrive in humidity? These are all questions to consider when choosing if a steam room or a sauna works best for you Visit Our Site For More Details: hiheatsaunas.com
