THE BEST PLACES TO EAT IN HAWAII

SAM CHOY’S KAPAHULU

OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY

DIXIE’S BAR AND GRILL

Sam choys kapahulu
SAM CHOYS’ KAPAHULU

  • Sam Choy’s Kapahulu is an indulgent and delightful dining experience. Service is first rate and the food is generously proportioned. Sam Choy’s unique cuisine will satisfy even the most discriminating palate.

Old spaghetti factory
OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY

  • The Old Spaghetti Factory is located at Ward Warehouse and has been a favorite of economically minded consumers who are looking for a complete meal at a reasonable price.

  • Service is usually fast andoften friendly (and you get a keepsake glass with certain beverages!).

Dixie s bar and grill
DIXIE’S BAR AND GRILL

  • For a fun and casual place to get elbow high into a platter of ribs and crab then look no further than Dixie’s Bar and Gill, located on Ward Avenue.

  • With eight special BBQ sauces to choose from, it’s a winner, but beware of their “Screaming Maitai”’s.

And the winner is
AND THE WINNER IS….

  • Sam Choy’s Kapahulu!!!I was more than delighted by the superior service and succulent cuisine experienced there. I especially enjoyed the salad that came with the entrée (the dressing is Sam’s own special recipe), but when you make your reservation, check what the soup of the day is going to be (once we were stuck with this curry stuff which was quite unimpressive). I especially learned to covet the “kapakahi”mashed potatoes. Unless you have a very large appetite, you will probably have to take home a significant part of your meal. Don’t forget to plan ahead and save room for desert, it is one of the few places it is actually worth it to indulge yourself (and exercise later!!). A meal at Sam Choy’s Kapahulu is simply pleasure from start to finish.
