  2. Past Progressive • Empregamos o Past progressive para descrever uma ação que estava acontecendo quando outra ocorre. • Ex: She was wearing a dresss when we saw her. • He was playing football.

  3. Past Progressive • Também usamos o Past progressive para descrever ações que estavam ocorrendo simultaneamente ou seja, ao mesmo tempo. • Ex: She was sleeping while he mother was cooking. • While she was preparing dinner, he was wshing the dishes.

  4. Forma Afirmativa • As frases afirmativas no Past Progressive são compostas da seguinte maneira: • Sujeito+ Verbo to be no passado+ verbo principal+ ing. • Ex: I was working • I was speaking. • You were speaking.

  5. Forma Interrogativa • As frases interrogativas no Past Progressive são bem simples, você apenas coloca o verbo to be antes do sujeito, ficando assim: • Verbo to be no passado+ Sujeito+ Verbo principal+ ing. • Ex: Was she working? • Was I speaking? • Were you speaking?

  6. Forma Negativa • Para formar uma frase negativa no Past Progressive você vai apenas acrescentar o not depois do verbo to be, ficando assim: • Sujeito+ Verbo to be no passado+ Not+ Verbo principal+ ing. • Ex: I was not(wasn’t) working. • I was not speaking. • You were not speaking.
