Students are:

  • making connections in their French language learning based on prior knowledge
  • speaking/writing in French
  • using strategies to make sense of their learning
  • enthusiastically using the language in authentic daily situations

How do you know that students are engaged?

Students are:

  • Using the language intentionally
  • Actively listening and participating orally in language activities
  • Reflecting on their learning and self-evaluating their work
  • Students are able to follow directions and/or problem-solve to reach the desired outcome
how is the content engaging
How is the content engaging?
  • When it is relevant to student’s life experience
  • When there is a need to communicate
  • When the content allows making connections to prior knowledge, student interests and experiences
what would the students be able to do after this process

Students are able to:

  • Communicate authentically in their second language (to describe, to ask, to respond, to greet)
  • Reflect and evaluate on the preparation process
