QUALIFIED TO WEAR SCBA IN ACCORDANCE WITH DEPARTMENTAL POLICY ABILITY TO READ DOYLESTOWN & MUTUAL AID MAPS ABILITY TO OPERATE ALL RADIO EQUIPMENT ADHERING TO ALL COMMUNICATIONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH THE OPERATOR AND CREW OF THE VEHICLE

THROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF EACH BUCKET POSITION AND THE ASSIGNMENTS DESIGNATED TO EACH POSITION. THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE APPARATUS AND THE EQUIPMENT CARRIED ON THE VEHICLE.   RESPONSIBLE FOR EXICUTION OF ASSIGNMENTS GIVEN TO THE CREW AND THE APPARATUS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY & ACTIONS OF THE CREW

    4. Be Prepared to do the Job ! By taking the Seat You may be in command of the incident if you are the 1st arriving officer !

    5. Who rides the seat first ? White Helmet (Company Officer) Red Helmet (Past Chief) Most experienced FF present

Sirens & Horns Use best judgment during non-peak hours (Don’t blow the siren at full tilt at 2am if not needed) Sirens & Air Horns should be operated by the officer whenever responding at emergency speed. Intersections Always use caution and stop at red lights & stop signs till intersection is deemed clear Use audible devices whenever crossing without the light or crossing lanes

    7. Radio Communications Be Calm Be Professional Speak Clearly Be informative yet concise with reports E-19 to Bucks, 3 story middle of the row brick structure, heavy smoke showing from 2nd floor

    8. Radio Communications When responding to scene “Engine 79 responding” When leaving scene “Engine 79 available”

    9. Responding Undermanned Apparatus is undermanned with less than 4 pack qualified personnel Radio Transmission when responding “Ladder 79 responding undermanned“
