  2. To use FarmVisit GIS • Create/Open a new project with the Project Manager • Load your county data • Locate a farm's location • Add a new farm • Open the PA Agriculture Outreach Form and enter the appropriate data.

  5. Locate a Farm's Location • Use a combination of the provided data layers along with USGS Topos and Aerial Photos. • Use provided FarmVisit Tools • Topo Tool: • Aerial Tool:

  6. Add a New Farm • To create a new FarmVisit site, select the Add FarmVisit Site tool. • Click on the map where you want to place the FarmVisit site.

  7. PA Agriculture Outreach Form • To record the PA Agricultural Outreach Form for a given FarmVisit site, select the FarmVisit Data Form tool. • Click an existing FarmVisit site. • Enter the information into its corresponding location. • Note that the Farm ID is the concatonation of the County FIPS code, the Municipality FIPS code, and a sequential counter for each farm in a particular municipality. For example, the Farm ID for the first farm (1) recorded in Southampton township (FIPS = 932) in Bedford county (FIPS = 05) would be 05_932_1.
