Parameters • 5-Yr projection • 30,000’ view—vision, principles, strategic targets • Comments by: committees, focus groups, campus IT groups, think tanks, interpretation of ‘white papers’, etc • Recognition of ‘shared responsibility’ • Variety of interpretation based on role, scope, affiliation within university community (e.g., off-campus, international, Extended Campuses)

  3. Suggested Categories of Focus • IT Governance • Alignment, Standardization, and Consolidated Services • Access • Securing and Improving Core Services • Financial Planning • Succession Planning • Facilities

  4. Examples of Comments • Standardized format, i.e., table of contents, publication format, importance of language and labeling,…etc • Broader vision for the IT Master Plan… • Clarification regarding ‘placement’ of affiliation/linkage of internationalization of research and teaching among/between various components (e.g., distance education, immigration compliance, ) rather than focused singularly • Additional principles…e.g., advanced integrative programs including curriculum mapping are required for future integrated, interdisciplinary learning, educational tracking, continued accreditation requests, and educational research.. • Need mention of supporting student computing (e.g., labs, student-owned computers, ‘green space’, etc) • Glossary/Definition section
