Form of Tag

1. Car Lot Form of Tag Physical Education

2. Starting the Game.. • Everyone in the game is on one side of the gym or space being used. • There are 2-3 Taggers • Taggers choose 3 different Cars • Examples: 1. Truck 2. Slug Bug 3. Motorcycle After taggers choose the three cars they announce the cars chosen to the remaining students on the baseline. Those students then choose one of those three cars to be for the duration of the game. • Identify the out of bounds areas • Identify the lines taggers are not allowed to cross. When lined up on this side of the court on the baseline taggers can not pass this orange line When lined up on this side of the court on the baseline taggers can not pass this orange line

3. runnin During the game… Object of the game for Taggers: To call out one at a time one of the three cars that they have chosen and tag as many people as they can as they run across to the other side. Taggers may also call “Car lot” which means all the cars must run across all at once. Object of the game for “Cars” (all remaining students on baseline) : To run across the gym/space and make it to the other wall or baseline with out being tagged.

4. RULES For Taggers! • Must stay behind the line to tag the students (cars) – if they choose not to cross the line with in a reasonable amount of time they can count to ten then cross the line. • While tagging be careful and respectful. • When calling out cars make sure you are loud so everyone can hear you. Rules for Cars! • You must choose one of the cars that the taggers list. • You can not change your car in the middle of the game. • When tagged you must sit down crisscross where you were tagged. • You can tag other people while sitting down by reaching with your hands ONLY! • You have to sit and try to tag other cars until it is down to the last two cars.
