What is an IWT • The concept of the Integrated Warning Team originated as part of the “Weather and Society Integrated Studies” (WAS*IS) • The IWT Workshop brings the major partners together to identify common problems and work on mutually beneficial solutions. • An IWT Workshop can be used to better understand how the public we serve responds to our services. • Many are Statewide initiatives • Many are multi-day events • Many tackle a variety of topics

  4. Who’s Here? • An Effective Team has: • Common goals / shared purpose • Well thought out strategy • Committed team members • Diversity The result of a great team is SYNERGY • Media • Emergency Managers • First Responders/Emergency Responders • National Weather Service
