Intentional conversation 1 • The purpose of this intentional conversation is to: • explore what the QKLG and EYLF principles might look like in practice • examine how the principles contribute to quality learning experiences • engage in sharing ideas about how the principles and practices could be used to enhance the quality of children’s learning • extend understandings of the alignment between the QKLG and EYLF.

Key messages of intentional conversation 1 • The key messages to share are: • It is important to have a consistent set of principles to guide practice. • Principle-based practices result in quality learning experiences. • The QKLG and the EYLF have the same intent in their principles and practices.

  4. Conversation process • Select a principle from the second page of theresource Key messages: A vision for the early years. Think of a story that illustrates that principle in practice. • Take turns to tell your story to the group. • In your group, discuss how these principles contributed to quality learning experiences. What made them quality learning experiences? • Share your ideas with the whole group. • How could you use the list ofprinciples and practices to enhancethe quality of learning in your centre?
