  1. Get More Sleep and Lose More Weight The food pyramid gives you an idea of the basic food groups and the recommended amounts of each that would be included in a well balance diet. It all starts with baby steps to break away from years of consuming unhealthy foods that maybe convenient at the time, but end up becoming unwanted fat around the waist and high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Continuing this trend will create bad habits for your children as well. Healthy foods can be convenient such as a banana or apple rather than grabbing a bag of chips loaded with empty calories ranging from 150 to 300 depending on the size of the bag. Eating a balance diet can be hard to do considering all the tempting tasty alternatives out there, but once you start seeing the results of a balance diet sticking to it becomes easier than you thought. Keeping a journal of the foods that you consume or writing down what you eat can help you stay on track to eating healthier. Every time a crab heads for freedom, the other crabs pull it back down into the bottom of the bucket! No crab, it would seem, can stand to see another crab excel, so they bring each other down and stay trapped in the bottom of the bucket until dinner time.If you find yourself in this position this week, tell your friends and family (politely) to stop slowing you down on your quest out of the metaphorical bucket of flabbiness and unfitness. Don't let them drag you down! The nutrition side of things tends to be the hardest part of the program and where you will see the most temptation from your friends and family.
