Get involved • Sets you apart given peer comparisons • Student leadership provides visibility to pros • Next to clinical accomplishments, provides best fodder for resumes • Translates into involvement with professional organization, increasing job prospects • Patterns of leadership and initiative • Volunteerism/involvement translating into leadership
