The Commission on Election (Comelec) offers over 230,000 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) a chance to remain on the official overseas voters list for the May 2013 elections. If they failed to vote in the last two elections, they faced removal but now have until December 21 to express their intent to vote. Either Comelec or Department of Foreign Affairs will publish the names of those to be removed by this date. OFWs cannot be abroad and in the Philippines simultaneously. Failure to vote may result in removal from the voters list. OFWs earning money by working abroad can still participate in the polls.
