  2. Abiotic Factors Tropical rain forest is hot all year long, the climate is warm and stable, very good for organisms to live. Because plants are intensive, some understory plants can’t get enough sunlight. Tropical rain forest also has adequate rain water.

  3. Biotic Factors • Plant Life • canopy-the extent of the outer layer of leaves • Animal Life(active all year) animals various, most are small animals and dendrocole(animals who live in the tree) understory-the area of a forest which grows at the lowest height level below the forest canopy(use large leave to competefor limited light) comouflage-help animals to hide themelves

  4. Distribution • Across the equator, North and south latitude 10 degrees. • The terrain, the atmospheric circulation and ocean currents affect areas have a tropical rain forest form. • Damp and hot • Economy is backward, not fit for human habitation.

  6. Abiotic Factors • Rainfall in tropical and subtropical grasslands, savannas, and shrublands is between 500 and 1300 millimeters (20 to 50 inches) a year. • The climate varies, with an average temperature of 27 °C with peaks of 30 °C in April and October. • Compact soils. • Frequent fires set by lightning.

  7. Biotic Factors • Plant adaptations include waxy leaf coverings and seasonal leaf loss. Bread-fruit Tree Many animals migrate during the dry season to find water .Some smaller animals burrow and remain inactive during the dry season. Zebra Orycteropusafer Ostrich

  8. Distribution • Occur on all continents but Antarctica • Africa • South Asia • Northern parts of South America and Australia • Southern United States.
