  3. An Expressed Opposition: (vs.45,46) • Jews were disappointed by the results of the Word; they wanted the Gospel to fail: • Jews were thinking by opposing Paul the message would fail: • Jews rejected the message giving the Gentiles an opportunity:

  4. An Enduring Message: (vs.47-49) • {Paul knew the OT Prophet Isaiah was aware that this message was the message for the future hope of Israel and the Gentiles:} • {God had put the Gentiles in His view of saving people} Isaiah 42:6 Isaiah 49:6
