Goodpractices and learningexperiences • - International Award of the Duke of Edinburgh: One to onementoringfrom and for volunteers in Scotland and Bulgaria in whichyoungpeopleusevoluntaryactivities for developingcompetenceshelpedbymentors and leaders . Thework of theleader is a voluntarywork, and for this he/shereceive a trainingcourse. Theparticipant at theendreceive a badge. • - Skillbookletwith 3 levels(educator->facilitator->trainer), reachinglevelsattendingworkshops and trainings. • - Youthpass: recognitiontoolaroundall Europe only for internationalyouthwork, enableyoungpeople to describetheirlearnings and competences. • - ECVET: a National pool of trainers of National youthcouncilhaslearnedhow to use ECVET (European creditsystem for vocationaleducation and training) bythevocationalsector in order to use it in designingtrainingcourses. • - NQF and EQF: aufZAQ in Austriaintegrateseducation and trainingcourses for payedyouthworkers and volunteers into the National Qualification Framework. Learning Outcomes of professionals in youthworkwillbecometransparent for the outside world.

Points for development and futureperspective • Theworld outside of youthwork (especiallyformaleducation and the labour market) shouldrecognizesocial and personalcompetences of youngpeoplegained in youthwork • Internalrecognitionsystem (inside organisations and/or inside thesector of youthwork) shouldbelinked to more general system(linking EQF, ECTS, ECVET, …) • Weneed pro-activepeoplewhopushtherecognition of individuallearning and educationpaths • Maintainthepossiblities and values of volunteering • Clearprofiles for payedworkers and a clearframework for volunteers. Enablepossiblities to switchfrom a volunteer position to a payed position. • Learning for youngpeople in youthworkshouldbe open. Theirshouldn’tbestanardisedlearningoutcomes for children and adolescents. A importantevalue of youthwork is theindividuallearning.
