Example Fossil Assemblage One • Oldest to Youngest: • Cephalopod- Ordivician • Blastoid – Mississippian • Echinoid – Cretaceous • Brachiopod – Pennsylvanian • Pelecypod – Quaternary • 2a) No, they are not in order • 2b) Periods missing – Silurian, Devonian, Permian, Triassic, Jurassic, Tertiary
