  11. Network Monitor • You can download and install the latest version of Network Monitor from the Microsoft Web site • Allow you to view network traffic • For advance options, you can download • Microsoft Systems Management Server • System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) • A Web-based tool for managing and distributing software updates (Windows update) • For Microsoft Windows XP and newer • You can use WSUS as a centralized updated center to store all the update locally • Three main components • Windows Update Synchronization Service • Web site hosted on a IIS server • WSUS MMC Administration console

  13. WSUS Installation • Add Web Server (IIS) Roles • Download and install • MS Report Viewer 2005 Redistributable Installation file • WSUS package • You can set it to synchronize with Windows Update servers OR your local server as shown in Figure 8-13 on Page 195
