September 2000: 147 head of nation declared 8 MDGs to eradicate poverty and solve other global issues by 2015. • Juli, 2012 HLPEP was commissioned by the UN-SG to develop broad and inclusive political consensus to recommend an ambitious yet achievable framework for the world’s post-2015 development agenda with shared responsibilities for all countries in fight against poverty with sustainable development at its core. • The agenda should promote equitable development, sustainable growth with equity, and strengthened global partnership. POST-2015 DEVELOPMENT AGENDA OBJECTIVES AND VISION VISION: to end poverty in our time and place the building blocks of sustained prosperity for all. It is a global, people-centered, and planet sensitive agenda to address the universal challenges of the 21st century: promoting sustainable development, Supporting job-creating growth, protecting the environment and providing peace, security, justice, freedom, and equity at all levels.

  3. HLPEP POST-2015 MILESTONE “Ending poverty by promoting equitable development, sustainable growth with equity through strengthened global partnership”. Speeech by President Susilo B. Yudoyhono, Co-Chair of the HLPEP. 2012 SEPT’: 1ST Meeting New York • Outreach events with the Government, Private sectors, Civil Society dan Youths; • Poverty and human development was discussed; • Vision and Framing questions, and key issues related to Human development was discussed. Nov: 2nd Meeting (London): POVERTY 2013 JANUARY : 3RD Meeting(Monrovia) : NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT • Discussed national priorities to sustained prosperity and the building block for the required economic transformation that create jobs, develop infrastructure, raise productivity, competitivenesss, and promote sustainable production and consumption. • Discussed global dimension of the agenda: global challenges, solutions, partnerships, and other means of implementation, as well as building a global consensus for actions and accountability; MARCH: 4th Meeting (BALI) :GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP MAY:Report Submission to the UN-Secretary General SEPT’: SPECIAL SESSION ON MDG UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

PROGRESS ON POST-2015 DEVELOPMENT AGENDA From the last HLP meeting in Bali (27 March 2013), the Panel highlight four key ares needed to achieve Post-2015 vision: • Reshaped and Revitalized Global Governance and Partnership; • Protection of the Global Environment; • Sustainable Production and Consumption; • Strengthened Means of Implementation; • Better Accountability in Measuring Progress.
