Homework • 40 minutes total • Develops responsibility • Designed to improve skills i.e.: reading for pleasure, understanding, note taking and studying • Extends lessons taught • Not graded • Students cannot be kept in for lunch/recess to finish incomplete h.w. • Students need to advocate for themselves and learn to use their time wisely.

Conferences • Because our students switch classes in 4th and 5th grade our conferences are split between Math and LA • Our December conferences are to meet with the parents of our MATH students • Our April conferences are to meet with the parents of our Language Arts students. • Sign up outside classroom in 4th grade wing.
