  2. Why is the role of the Partnership Board changing? • ‘Valuing People Now’ regional teams no longer exist • Responsibility for ‘Valuing People Now’ has been moved to local Learning Disability Partnership Boards

  3. What is ‘Valuing People Now’? • ‘Valuing People Now’ is the national strategy for people with a learning disability • It looks at how the lives of people with learning disabilities should get better eg education, employment and housing

  4. Is the Partnership Board ready to do this? • Representatives from many different groups of people including young people • Involvement of officers from the Council, Health, Police, Education • Consultation and discussion of issues a regular part of workshops and meetings

  5. What else do we need to do? • Decide on the priorities for Bromley • Decide the best way to monitor these reports and how they will be reported back

  6. What do we do next? • The Partnership Board will need to look at how to do these things • We will talk about it at the meeting in July

  7. Learning Disability Partnership Board Annual Report • The Annual Report will have information about services in Bromley • The report will be completed by the July meeting

  8. Learning Disability Partnership Board Annual Report • The report needs to be agreed at a meeting and signed • This will be done by the co-chairs, a member representing people with a learning disability and a member representing family carers.
