  1. 4 Bad Habits You Need To Avoid To Prevent Further Damage To Your Hair In our quest for healthy and beautiful looking hair, we usually do things that cause a great deal of damage to our hair. Damaged hairs are fragile, so they are likely to break easily. Sadly, hair breakage can leave you with frizzy, unhealthy looking hair. If you continue with your hair damaging habits, you may eventually notice thinning of hair or even bald spots.

  2. Poor diet: Regular use of hair styling tools: • In order to enjoy healthy and beautiful hair, you need to eat foods that are rich in iron, protein and vitamin E. Also, you need to include foods rich in trace minerals such as copper and zinc. • A 2011 study reports that regular use of a hair dryer triggers more surface damage than natural drying. Other styling options such as curling and straightening contribute to more hair loss when performed continuously. When using a hair curler or straightener to style your locks, the less heat the better. Over shampooing: • No doubt there are many effective shampoos for damaged hair, but over shampooing dries out both your scalp and hair, preventing your scalp from getting natural oils that provide essential moisture to your hair. Hot showers: • Without a doubt, a hot shower feels great during the chills of dead winter, but it’s not doing any favours to your hair. Hot showers open the cuticle, the outermost layer of the hair and lets moisture escape. Over time this will eventually lead to hair damage.
