JUNIOR Year classes • 1.0 Credit in English/American Studies • 1.0 Credit in Math • 1.0 Credit in Science • 1.0 Credit in U.S. History/American Studies • 1.0 Credit P.E. or 0.5 Credit (if in Marching Band) • 1.0 Credit or .50 Credit in CAP • Electives (World Language, Applied Arts, Fine Arts) • Pay attention to graduation requirements • Be sure to list alternative classes, especially P.E.

  13. Taking a rigorous schedule • Junior year is a very important year academically. • Colleges will use your 6th semester transcript for admission consideration. • Consider your post-secondary plans • 4-year college • 2-year college • Trade school • Military • Work

  14. Summer school opportunities • Fine Arts Survey (A proficiency exam is also offered once each semester. 2nd semester date TBD) • Failed courses from previous years.

  15. schedule changes • Course verifications will be mailed home in late March/early April. • Student will be given approximately 7 days to make course changes. • After the deadline, “change of mind” schedule change requests will not be honored.
