  1. Atmospheric neutrino session • Summary of parallel session: • Talks will be on the web: • Update on matter effects: Hyejoo Kang & Simona Murgia • Extended to upwqrd muons – Still need > 100 years exposure to see any effect • SR atmospheric neutrino analysis: Bernie Becker • Objective to repeat the Cambridge analysis using the SR reconstruction. Make a detailed comparison of data selections. Showed the preliminary selection 4M-> 20K events. Final selections by Ely • Cambridge Analysis code, MC, data and ntuples: John Chapman • Where to find all the Cambridge code and data. • Simulation of muon background: Eric Grashorn • Simulation of the muon background to a search for cosmic ray muon point sources • Observation of K+ decays: Hugh Gallagher Tony Mann • A K+ decay has been extracted from the Caldet data using the time structure of the decay. Could be applied to beam and atnu data. • Plans for a contained event publication: Mark Thomson • To be repeated in the following session.

  2. Agenda for the session • Introduction/Plans Mark Thomson • Upward Muon Analysis Brian Rebel • Contained Vertex Analysis Mark Thomson for Andy Blake • Mufson effect in stopping  Caius Howcroft • Charge ID systematics John Chapman
