  13. SRVM Performance • Tested at State Street starting Fall 1998 • No measurable performance effect at low write intensity (Nav Alert) • Performance degradation 10% at high write intensity (50 writes/second - CSW)

  14. Replication Performance • Writes per second are limiting factor • Limitation on replication is usually link latency, not bandwidth • Latency increases with distance - a severe problem at long distance, even with ‘high speed’ links

  15. SRVM REQUIREMENTS/ISSUES • GUI Interface • Higher level configuration/management commands • Automatic synch checks and re-synch • Functional with symmetric First Watch or Cluster server • Up-to-date documentation • Cookbook
