El Poder Judicial de Venezuela es ejercido por el Tribunal Supremo de Justicia PODER JUDICIAL De acuerdo a lo establecido en su Ley Orgánica, el Poder Judicial se ejerce por la Corte Suprema de Justicia (hoy Tribunal Supremo de Justicia), los tribunales de jurisdicción ordinaria (Cortes de Apelaciones, Tribunales Superiores, Juz- gados de Primera Instancia y de Municipio) y los tribunales de jurisdicción Su función consiste en administrar justicia, de manera gratuita, para decidir sobre los conflictos entre personas físicas o morales, en derecho privado o público, en todo tipo de procesos, juzgando y haciendo ejecutar lo juzgado.
