  1. Things You Should Know Before Choosing A Drywall Drywall panels are the best option for your interior wall and ceilings, especially during renovation and repair work. However, people, these days are also inclined to the idea of using drywall in the new construction project. So, today, let us check out the things you should know before approaching drywall suppliers for your next consignment Choosing the Right Type – There are majorly four different types of drywalls commonly used in the interiors. The types of professional-grade drywall include standard, mold-resistant, fire-resistant, and backer board. You can choose the following depending on the area and application it is used for. For example, standard drywalls are best for living room and bedroom whereas mold-resistant drywalls are good options for bathroom and kitchens. Choosing the Right Size – You can find drywall panels in three different sizes i.e. 4 x 8 feet, 4 x 10 feet, and 4 x 12 feet. The 4 feet x 8 feet drywall panels are the most common type and majorly used because of the standard height of the room. However, you can also go for the other two for a smooth vertical surface look for rooms with higher ceilings. Choosing the Right Thickness – Before approaching any drywall contractors Toronto, you should know about the right thickness of the sheets as per the applications. You can find three common types of panel thickness when you enter the market i.e. ¼ inch, ½ inch, and 5/8 inch. The different thickness of panels is used for different uses and applications. For example, the one with the minimum thickness is used for skimming or used especially over a curved surface. Drywalls with ½ inch are the most common among all and generally used for interior walls. The last one is usually considered the best option for ceiling and fire-resistant applications.
