Community Mental Health Overview • The CMHC system consists of 25 centers providing comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment across all 92 counties in Indiana. • The CMHC system currently operates 2 of the 14 Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs) with 2 more opening this Spring/Summer. CMHC Opioid Treatment Programs include: • Bowen Center, Allen County • Edgewater Systems for Balanced Living, Lake County • Hamilton Center, Vigo County • Porter-Starke, Porter and Starke Counties

CMHC Overview – Addiction Treatment • The CMHC system is currently working with FSSA and the four MCEs administering HIP to operationalize the ASAM 3.1 and 3.5 short-term residential addiction recovery components of HIP 2.0. • Medicaid coverage for this short-term residential will greatly assist substance abuse treatment consumers in preparing for successful intensive outpatient treatment in their communities. • CMHCs are enthusiastically anticipating operationalization of the HIP – Addiction Recovery Management Services (ARMS) to facilitate Intensive Outpatient Treatment for health consumers who are not medically frail.

CMHC Overview – Whole-Person Treatment • The CMHC system has been working diligently to integrate primary healthcare into their comprehensive mental an substance abuse services through an array of avenues: • FQHC/Lookalike Status • Partnerships with FQHCs • Utilization of greater hospital system (certain CMHCs) • The Indiana Council and select centers are currently working to become Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs) which will allow additional federal funds to be leveraged for comprehensive integrated care coordination and treatment
