Bank Mitra is an initiative taken by RBI for helping those who are living in remote areas and are deprived of banking services as there are no banks in their vicinity. This is a major step taken towards the financial inclusion of rural areas. CSP Bank Mitra provides basic banking services like Savings Account Opening, Cash deposit, Money Transfer for the ease of the areas where banking services are scarce. A person after fulfilling the eligibility criteria and getting the verification process done is allowed to become a Bank Mitra CSP in his local area where there are no banks. Required Fees: Any individual who is above 18 years and willing to do a business can start with this. The person should have basic knowledge of computer. He/She should be a resident of that area and have a 10*10 sq ft shop. This is the requirement that needs to be fulfilled to open a SBI Kiosk point. No other additional fees is required. During the setting up of the shop, a fees might be incurred for the devices and banners required to go live. Bank Mitra CSP should be located within a radius of 10 km of the main branch. The agent gets fixed payment as well as earns commissions based on his dedication and hard work. CSP Registration: For CSP Registration one can merely apply online by filling a basic form. You will receive a call back from the website. Post that, along with the CSP registration form, there are a few documents required like passport size photo, Education certificate, Pan Card, Aadhaar card, Voter I Card, Driving license, Shop agreement, Police verification certificate eetc. All these documents need to be submitted which would be verified first, based on that one gets the approval to go ahead, if there is something that is not approved as per their terms and condition there are chances of the application getting rejected. After getting the approval one can proceed to the next steps, a welcome kit is sent to the applicant along with the training module. He needs to understand and get trained. Once he completes the training process and feels he is now fit to start with offering the services, he is free to start giving the services to his customers. He can offer basic banking services to his customers and not only earn an attractive income but also gets blessings from his villages by solving their banking problems. There are many banks offering Bank Mitra CSP. Getting associated with banks and working as a Bank Mitra is a highly privileged job. You can either become SBI CSP, Bank of Baroda CSP, or any other bank’s CSP. Whether it be the Bank of Baroda or SBI CSP registration process is more or less the same. Based on the banks and other factors the fees vary. CSP Bank Mitra system helps both, the agent by giving the opportunity to earn well and the villagers to get the banking facilities in their area. This is a long-term association with banks.
