It is committed to the comprehensive and accurate representation of music scholarship in all countries and languages, and across all disciplinary and cultural boundaries. Barry S. Brook (1918-97)

RILM Abstracts of Music Literature abstracted and indexed bibliography of research on music committed to the comprehensive coverage of music scholarship in all countries and languages includes publications on music from the early 19th century to the present(complementary to RIPM) indexes all document types, from journal articles to books, e-publications to conference proceedings, Festschrift, dissertations, reviews, and more. covers all music and music-related topics, including musicology, interdisciplinary topics, ethnomusicology, music archeology, organology, jazz and popular music, performance, pedagogy, etc.
