  3. 教材和教学重难点 STATUS ANF FUNCTION(地位) • This lesson is waring up and speaking part of Unit 10.It is related to our daily life. • This lesson is helpful for the Ss to improve their spoken English. TEACHING KER POINTS(重点) • a.Make a discussion related to the daily life. • b.Talk about wildlife endangered with the target language and useful expressions. TEACHING DIFFICULTIES(难点) • a.The usage of the cause and effect cause. • b.Using an interview format and the useful expressions to practise talking about animals and animal protection.

  4. 教学目标 Knowledge objects • Let the students talk about the animals and the reasons of endangering using the useful expressions, and talk about the suggestion of protecting animal further. Ability objects • Train them with some effective learning methods to optimize the students’ learning results. • Moral objects • Enable the students to love life and animals, protect the nature and environment.

  5. 学生基本情况 Ss including 30boys and 17 girls. 2 Ss are active and curious about learning new things. 说教法 1 Communicative Method. 2 Aural-oral Method with the help of the computer.

  6. 教学步骤分析 • Step1: Warming up(5mins) • Step2:Presentation. (15mins) • Step3: Practice: speaking – do an incerview (15mins) • Step4: Production(10mins)

  7. Step1: Warming up(5mins) • Show the picture of mascots, and ask the Ss to recognize them and then speak out their names. Mention the Ss that each mascot is a kind of animals. Stand for

  8. Step2:Presentation Warming up. (15mins) 1 Show pictures of other different animals in turns. pictures like this: 2 After putting up all the pictures, ask Ss questions: • What do you think of these pictures? • Why these animals in danger? • Do you know of any other endangered animals? • What would happen to luman if animals died out?

  9. Step3: Practice: speaking – do an incerview (15mins) • Private pair role play: One student act as the reporter, the other student act as animal. Then the reporter ask the animal following questions: • Where did you live before they brough you to the zoo? • How long have you been living in the zoo? • Do you prefer living in the zoo or living in the jungle? Why? • If you could say something to all humans, what would you tell them?

  10. Step4: Production Debat: Is it good or bad to keep animals in the zoo. Divide the Ss into two group — con and pro. And then ask the Ss to find some reasons to support their own side. After preparation, debate begins. Tips: Good side: animals will be well cared. Bad side: Animals lose freedom.

  12. 教学效果预测 • The teaching content is not difficul, So Ss will find it easy to learn . • My lesson plan is tried to reach these two principles. The questions in my teaching plan raised for the purpose of arousing the students’ interests and aimed to cultivate the student a sense of protecting environment.
