  3. Praise and Seeking Refuge Dua of Tuesday starts with the praise of Allah (swt), and seeking protection form Allah (swt.) The technicality of the communication of Imam , mostly starts with praise before,….he thinks about Allah (swt) Before himself. Then he seeks the protection of Allah (swt) from him. • all praise is to Allah and praise is his right, • We might have an Obligation, but not necessarily religious. If we lower ourselves in front of someone high, then naturally our intellect will praise him. That is why the Angels praise Allah (swt) through their intellect (because angels don’t have desires). So, the intellect directs to praise him automatically. His right is an intellectual right, and then religious right

• Plenty of praise, abundance of praise. • It should plenteous of praise …..it should be done in abundance, never ever stop praising him, always ….day and night praise Allah (swt,) If you have reached the level where you praise Allah (swt) day and night, then you have freed your intellect from you desires. The angels always praise Allah (swt), day and night because they don’t have desires ……their intellect is always there. • People don’t praise Allah swt, because of their desires, distractions and obstacles……These obstacles come from the Nafs.

  5. ـ وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي، إنَّ النَّفْسَ لاَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إلاَّ ما رَحِمَ رَبِّي، • I seek protection, refuge to Allah swt, from the evil of my (Nafs) desires, • Nafs is of three types in the Holy Quran. The Rooh is only an energy/power or intellect, or something from a different world. But Nafs is something which is a kind of bridge to live in this world, to fufill our needs. • It is the Nafs which pushes us to eat, have relations, earn, etc. We cannot live without the Nafs, in this world. • So, Allah (swt) gave us this tool (ie the Nafs), so as to survive in this life, and also as a test. Therefore, the Nafs is a tool for survival. Therefore, the Nafs has the capacity to do good or bad. • Hence, there is an encryption in us, to know the good and bad quite obviously.

  6. That’s why in the Quran it saysوَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا, فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا, قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا, وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا so this (ayah) talks about the capacity of the (Nafs) which can do good and which can do bad. That means Allah swt taught this (Nafs) this is good and this bad, so there is a kind of innate inside us a build up structure encoded to know things good or bad obviously. And he says those who purify it are succeeded, so (Nafs) has the capacity to be pure by keeping it from the haram. And whoever brings it down then he is a looser. That’s why there is an (ayah) that says, the result of those people who purify it or keep it pure يا أيتها النفس المطمئنة so this (Nafs) has secured it self from wrong direction. Then we have ولا اقسم بالنفس اللوامة this (Nafs) on the day of judgment will blame it self for its actions.

  7. وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي، إنَّ النَّفْسَ لاَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إلاَّ ما رَحِمَ رَبِّي وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي، إنَّ النَّفْسَ لاَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ • Here the imam As, is seeking refuge from the (Nafs لاَمَّارَة) (امر ) is magnified commander, the (Nafs) is commanding the people, strongly pushing it towards doing wrong. إلاَّ ما رَحِمَ رَبِّي • Unless if there was a mercy of Allah (swt), then this (Nafs) cannot do anything. that means that in order to fight the (Nafs), you need to have help,…..seek help from Allah (swt), and that’s the test for us in this world, that are we approaching to Allah or not. Allah makes this (Nafs) which wants to take us to any direction then Allah says I’m there for you and I've given you intellect. So this is a test, without Allah swt (Nafs) can take over us. So Allah (swt)’s mercy is very important….without Allah swt’s mercy we will never succeed, so that means every day and night I have to have communication with Allah swt, in order to fight this (Nafs) which forces the person to do bad.

  8. Now why is this (Nafs) pushes a person to do evil? We said the (Nafs)could be good and could be bad, so why here he says the (Nafs) put the people toward wrong direction unless if Allah interferes. So interference of Allah swt is important and Allah swt will not interfere unless you knock the door of Allah swt, otherwise what is the difference between you and others, there has to be justice, like police will it be there to guard you every time? No! when you are in trouble or in danger, you ask the police I'm in threat. So Allah swt, you ask him I'm in threat so Allah will protect you guard you more and more, why? Because Satan is like a thief, he comes steals and go away, he is our enemy. So I have a bigger enemy in this world, he comes he gives me wrong inspiration, it comes in my heart it comes in my brain, so that’s why I have a big enemy going around, so I have to knock the door of Allah swt, so Allah will help but you have to start taking the initiative for the help of Allah.

  9. (Nafs) does not have the capacity to distinguish good from bad, that is the bad of it, that’s the animal part of it. Animal if it sees food in front of it, it will eat, if you have documents laying around and you have a goat the goat will eat your documents. It will not seek your permission can I eat your documents, they cannot distinguish , animal they only have a setup that they have to do this, to live to eat to defend to attack. Out (Nafs) the setup for it is like an animal, doesn’t distinguish good and bad, that’s the evil part of it. You see if a person looses his mind intellect he becomes like animal doesn’t distinguish good and bad. Small child who has not learned anything he doesn’t distinguish good and bad unless he goes through pain. He will take this burning charcoal he will touch it (wshshshhs) then next time he will be scared to touch that. The (Nafs) is like a child or an animal that cannot distinguish and that is the evil part of it that it can’t distinguish between good or bad. And that’s why Allah swt, gave this distinguisher the (akel) the intellect, which is the distinguisher, so without the intellect the (Nafs) is going to be bad, it will do good sometimes but it will do bad sometimes . It wants to eat, the (Nafs) I don’t care im hungry, feed me feed me feed me. It will see haram food it will eat it, it will see halal food it will eat it, it will eat anything that’s the bad part, not being able to distinguish.

  10. That’s why the chief of all believers gives us a beautiful example, that (Nafs) is like a horse, and your Intellect is like a horse rider, directs the (Nafs) where to go properly good direction bad direction. So if the horse rider is sleeping the horse might take you somewhere. There was a time we were driving from Oklahoma to Dallas by car it like 2 hours drive but we were coming all the way from north, like from Dearborn Michigan so its like a 24 hours drive. So I’m the navigator and we need to make sure we don’t take one wrong turning, one wrong highway you might end up into Alaska, so I got really exhausted, so my friend who is driving said sleep sleep, is said no I cannot sleep, he said sleep, I said are you sure, he said yes I'm just following the high way, and I slept only for ½ hour, I woke up and I feel that we are on the wrong high way so which exit did you take he said something that said dallas on it so I checked and we were going the wrong for a ½ hour, we were going all the way east instead of south. So we would have reached california or somewhere in nevada. So your intellect is a navigator, it navigates the (Nafs). If the (Aqel) sleeps then (Nafs) will go will have a party.

  11. ذَلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ أَنِّي لَمْ أَخُنْهُ بِالْغَيْبِ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي كَيْدَ الْخَائِنِينَ • [Shakir 12:52] This is that he might know that I have not been unfaithful to him in secret and that Allah does not guide the device of the unfaithful. • وَمَا أُبَرِّئُ نَفْسِي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلاَّ مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّيَ إِنَّ رَبِّي غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ {53} • [Shakir 12:53] And I do not declare myself free, most surely (man's) self is wont to command (him to do) evil, except such as my Lord has had mercy on,

  12. Zulaykha- after she regretted when they took him out of prison, before they took him out of prison he wanted a clear non-guilty verdict especially from the women, because he doesn’t want to come out and still there is some false accusations on Yousef As. So they said what is the problem with this women, so all the women confessed and Zulaykha also confessed and said 12:52 I did not betray him out of secrets, no publically I told him that I was wrong, I made a mistake Then she says 12:53 I'm not saying my (Nafs) is ok, declaring it free from sins or my (Nafs) is innocent. (Nafs) pushes you to do wrong these and I was compelled forced to take this wrong direction. Because she was not using that intellect at that time. Unless my lord has mercy upon me. Now here they say after long time Allah swt, brought her beauty back to get married to you Yousef , now prophet Yousef As, sends a proposal she says yes at that time I loved you so much and now I love your creator so much.

  13. Then the imam starts seeking refuge from (shar) Satan, so before the Satan the (Nafs) the Satan cannot do that much but (Nafs) is inside you the desires the controlling of the desires is more important, Satan can be fought very easily but (Nafs) always pushing you, but Satan’s whispering might not be continuously with you. ـ وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ الَّذِي يَزِيدُنِي ذَنْباً إلَى ذَنْبِيand I seek refuge to him from the evil of the Satan, the one that adds sin over my sins, وَأَحْتَرِزُ بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ جَبَّار فاجِر، وَسُلْطان جآئر، وَعَدُوٍّ قاهِر. And I seek protection or guarding through Allah from every immoral might. (jabir) is a person that forces people. (Fajer) is a corrupted or immoral person. They say the person that commits adultery is a person (Fajer) immoral. And from an unjust ruler . (Jaer) means unjust, from (jowr) tyrent. And from enemy who’s overpowering. (kahir), (kahhar) the one who overtakes something. Conquers, overpower, So if there is an enemy that is away is no problem but if he is overpowering there is a problem. But if there is ruler no problem but if he is a tyrant there is a problem. So if we have a mighty army its no problem but if we have immoral army that is a problem.

Oh Allah make me from your soldiers, or those who are prepared to serve you those who are equipped, for those who are equipped are the victorious. There is a difference between a regular person and soldier, as soldier is ready to face the challenges, regular person is not ready. What are the characteristics of (jond Allah) this ayah you’ll find It in sorah 37:171,172,173 (saffat) our word has truly been like written long time ago, we are going to support who, our servants who are messengers. They are the victorious, our host alone shall be victorious. So our supporters our equipped people who are ready to face the challenges they are the one going to be victorious. So the supporters of the messengers are called (jond Allah) so if you support the messenger you are (jond Allah)

Oh Allah make me from your party because your party are the prospers Now people will think that Hezbollah is the ones in Lebanon. So Hezbollah what is Hezbollah? Is this a Lebanese political party Allah swt, talking about, or the meaning is more broader than the political thing which is now there. So it depends if they are applying this then they are (Hezb) but anybody non Lebanese anywhere in the world if he is applying these ayah then he is (Hezb of Allah) swt, or the party of Allah swt, so what is the characteristics of Hezbollah, when we go to the ayah the ayah Is 5:55 your authority is non but Allah swt, and the messenger, and the one who believes, and offers salat and performs charity while he bow. And the second ayah talks about Hezbollah, and whoever considers Allah authority and his messenger and the one who believed those who gave charity, those are the party of Allah and they are the victorious. In the Quran it mentions another party, it talks about Hezb el-Satan. This is in 58:14, 19 haven’t you seen those people who have the authority, to whom ?, people whom Allah swt, bestows his wrath upon them. In another ayah it talks about people whom Allah's wrath is upon them, who are these people who Allah’s wrath upon them, the extreme Jewish people, the Jewish used to kill the prophets and they tried to kill prophet Mohamed s, Christians did not try to kill the prophet S, they tried to secure their path only. But the Jewish people tried to kill him because he did not came out to be a Jew. They are not from you and they are not from themselves also. So they are not real Jews either, and they make oath on lie and they know that they are wrong people. Satan took over them so he made them forget and abandon the remembrance of Allah.

  16. Shakir 58:22]You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the hereafter, love those who act in animosity to Allah and His Messenger, these are not Hezbollah, those who believe in Allah and the hereafter they should be abandoning themselves from the love of enemies of Allah… even if they were there fathers or their children their brothers or their tribe, these people if you find them, who only love Allah and if there is enemies of Allah they will not love them no matter what happens these people Allah made the (Iman ) flourish in their hearts and miraculous power of support comes from Allah swt, and Allah will let them enter paradise where the rivers flow beneath it, eternally they will abode there, and Allah's pleased with them and they are pleased with him. These are the ones who is Hezbollah, and the party of Allah swt, are the successful ones.

  17. To be servant of Allah swt

  18. End of part one MINHAAJ • O my Allah! make me a part of Thy flock, because surely Thy flock (alone) wins; take me in among the group of people dedicated to Thee, because beyond the shadow of doubt, Thy party (alone) makes progress, make room for me among Thy friends, because certainly for Thy friends there is no fear, nor they dismay or lose confidence. O my Allah, let me answer the purpose of  (my) religion, because nothing else but this alone guarantee success in my works; make my eternal life (here- after) blissful, because at all events it will be my permanent abode, a sanctuary-away from the vile and the  worthless (mean world); let me live a life that fully absorbs good and beauty, every where, at all times, let me die a death that sets me free (happy and blessed) from every kind of evil

  19. Dua for Tuesday, and good end

  20. End of part one MINHAAJ • O my Allah send blessing on Muhammad, the Last Prophet, the culmination of all Messengers, on his pure and pious children, on his noble companions, and grant me in the hours of this Tuesday three favours. • Do not take up the account of my sins, but to overlook them, do not put me in difficulties, but to overcome them, do not be hard and severe, except to curb the transgression, in the name of "Bismillah" the Best of names. In the name of Allah, the Lord of the earth, and the heavens, • I keep off and drive away  everything which is ugly and bad, worst of all is His displeasure. I collect and gather everything which is beautiful and good, best of all is His pleasure; • so be kind and merciful when my time comes, O He Who owns and distributes favors freely! O Allah! Send blessing on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad.

  21. Verses: • ذَلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ أَنِّي لَمْ أَخُنْهُ بِالْغَيْبِ وَأَنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي كَيْدَ الْخَائِنِينَ • [Shakir 12:52] This is that he might know that I have not been unfaithful to him in secret and that Allah does not guide the device of the unfaithful. • وَمَا أُبَرِّئُ نَفْسِي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلاَّ مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّيَ إِنَّ رَبِّي غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ {53} • [Shakir 12:53] And I do not declare myself free, most surely (man's) self is wont to command (him to do) evil, except such as my Lord has had mercy on,

  22. Who are the HIZB “Party of Allah” • إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلاَةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ {55} • [Shakir 5:55] Only Allah is your Vali and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow. • وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللّهِ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ {56} • [Shakir 5:56] And whoever takes Allah and His messenger and those who believe for a guardian, then surely the party of Allah are they that shall be triumphant.

  23. Party of Shaytaan (HIZB of Shaytaan) • أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ تَوَلَّوْا قَوْمًا غَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مَّا هُم مِّنكُمْ وَلَا مِنْهُمْ وَيَحْلِفُونَ عَلَى الْكَذِبِ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ {14} • [Shakir 58:14] Have you not seen those who befriend a people with whom Allah is wroth? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear falsely while they know. • اسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَأَنسَاهُمْ ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ أُوْلَئِكَ حِزْبُ الشَّيْطَانِ أَلَا إِنَّ حِزْبَ الشَّيْطَانِ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ {19} • [Shakir 58:19] The Shaitan has gained the mastery over them, so he has made them forget the remembrance of Allah; they are the Shaitan's party; now surely the Shaitan's party are the losers.

  24. Friendship only for love of God • لَا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ يُوَادُّونَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَوْ كَانُوا آبَاءهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَاءهُمْ أَوْ إِخْوَانَهُمْ أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ أُوْلَئِكَ كَتَبَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَأَيَّدَهُم بِرُوحٍ مِّنْهُ وَيُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ أُوْلَئِكَ حِزْبُ اللَّهِ أَلَا إِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ {22} • [Shakir 58:22] You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the hereafter, love those who act in animosity to Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him these are Allah's party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.

  25. The supporters of Allah swt • وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ {171} • [Shakir 37:171] And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the messengers: • إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ الْمَنصُورُونَ {172} • [Shakir 37:172] Most surely they shall be the assisted ones • وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ {173} • [Shakir 37:173] And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones.

  26. The God loving righteous ones • إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ {13} • [Shakir 46:13] Surely those who say, Our Lord is Allah, then they continue on the right way, they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve.

  27. End of part one MINHAAJ • وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ {169} • [Shakir 3:169] And reckon not those who are killed in Allah's way as dead; nay, they are alive (and) are provided sustenance from their Lord;فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُواْ بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلاَّ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ {170} • [Shakir 3:170] Rejoicing in what Allah has given them out of His grace and they rejoice for the sake of those who, (being left) behind them, have not yet joined them, that they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve.

  28. End of part one MINHAAJ • الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يُتْبِعُونَ مَا أَنفَقُواُ مَنًّا وَلاَ أَذًى لَّهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ {262} • [Shakir 2:262] (As for) those who spend their property in the way of Allah, then do not follow up what they have spent with reproach or injury, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and they shall have no fear nor shall they grieve. • الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلاَنِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ {274} • [Shakir 2:274] (As for) those who spend their property by night and by day, secretly and openly, they shall have their reward from their Lord and they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve.
