  3. Appropriate Attire Appropriate clothing and personal etiquette are equally important in the classroom, at home, restaurants and other public events.

  4. What to Wear FEMALES Ladies! Ladies! Low, comfy flip-flops and loafers are NOT dressy enough for semi-formal occasions. Business Suit w/Skirt or Dress Pants

  5. What to Wear No sneakers, nor baseball caps gentlemen. Shirt, Tie & Dress Slacks MALES

  7. Table Setting GuideBASIC PLACE SETTING A great trick to help you remember the order, left to right for a basic table setting is to just picture the word “FORKS.” • F for Fork • O for Plate (the shape) • Right of Plate • K for Knife • S for Spoon

Table Setting GuideOTHER THINGS TO REMEMBER: PROPER EATING •  Chew with closed mouth •  No talking with food in mouth •  No slurping, finger licking, belching or grooming/place accessories under table or chair •  Pass food, salt, and pepper to the right PROPER POSTURE •  No leaning or elbows on the table •  Gentlemen wait for Ladies before sitting, standing • or leaving the table • HAND FOOD- It is perfectly acceptable to use your hands to eat: •  breads •  ‘hors doers (cheese & crackers, chicken wings, just to name a few) •  other finger foods (tacos, mini-burgers, egg rolls, just to name a few)
