  3. 1.1 Introduction • Interoperable Constituent : Bi-Standard TVM / ERTMS • On Board Assemblies : based on Bi-Standard TVM / ERTMS Architecture • POS HST (Paris/Stuttgart and Zürich) • PBA HST (Paris/Bruxelles/Amsterdam) • PBKA HST (Paris/Bruxelles/Cologne/Amsterdam) • Compliance with TSI requirements and National Rules (Belgium, Dutch, France, Germany) • Require strict organisation and cooperation : many entities are involved in the certification process • Require cross acceptance procedures performed by Notified Bodies and Safety Assessor

  5. 1.3 On Board Assembly Functions Start of Mission ERTMS level 1 and level 2 STM :TBL1/TBL2/ATB/KVB/TVM/LZB/PZB Managements of transitions: ERTMS L1/L2; ERTMS/STM; STM/STM. Note: Transitions are automatics: without driver action, and are performed at the normal speed of the line.

  10. 3.3 On Board Assembly for PBA and PBKA Assessment • => Cooperation between Operators: SNCF (ERTMS, TVM, KVB), SNCB (TBL), DB (PZB / LZB), NS/HSA/LLYOD’S (ATB), INFRABEL, PRORAIL. • => Cross acceptance: CERTIFER (On Board Assemblies) KEMA (STM ATB and TBL) • => Safety Assessor for National Rules : BELGORAIL (TBL) LLYOD’s Register (ATB), EBA (LZB/PZB), CERTIFER (TVM and KVB) • => Cooperation between National Safety Autorities (SSICF IVW , EBA EPSF )
