Group Spaces • Group Spaces provide an online work environment for effective team collaboration for a group of users with a common objective • Resolve a business problem • Share an area of interest • A group space can comprise of multiple pages. Each page can expose one or more out of the box web 2.0 services. • Ex: Discussion Forums, document/content management for group collaboration • Page creation wizard for sophisticated layouts • Customize the page via WebCenter Composer (add/remove services) • Configure exposed services per Group Space

  4. Group Spaces • Integrated with Application Objects • Create a group space from your application • Manage group space, e.g., add / remove members • Display group space metadata in the application • Templates: Single-click creation of Group Spaces

Tagging • A tag is a keyword assigned to a piece of information (a Fusion object). • Provides a quick and easy way to annotate and categorize content enabling users to find related objects later • Created by the end users rather than developers or administrators • Evolves organically with ability to influence others and receive their view points as well

  10. An Object’s Tags • Fusion applications business object instances can be ‘tagged’ by end users • Users can allow their tags to be seen by others (shared - default) or keep them private On mouse click: On mouse hover:

  11. TagCenter • Allows searching of public & private tags • Results weighted to include collective wisdom • Tags used more get greater importance • Objects using important tags rank higher • Real time search (not crawled)

Global Search • Google-like search of a crawled index, not a real-time search of the actual transactional tables. • Global search appears in the global area of every page • Secure Enterprise Search (SES) drives the Oracle Fusion global search through the Enterprise Crawl and Search Framework (ECSF) • Facets provide a way to filter search results • Evolves organically with ability to influence others and receive their view points as well
