WHAT WE DO – THE PNC OF THE UCC? • Help strengthen the life of the local churches and their congregations. • We offer opportunities to clergy, lay leaders, and congregations through continuing education. • We offer required ethics/boundary training to clergy and members in discernment. • We help churches be informed on issues of local, national, and international concern. • Keep churches and congregations informed on the needs of others world wide.

WHAT WE DO – THE PNC OF THE UCC? • Produce a monthly leadership packet. • Distribute a newsletter sharing news about church and conference activities. • Distribute materials which assist congregations, clergy, and lay members. • Help congregations understand their relationships with their local church and the national church.

  7. KEEP OURSELVES INFORMED OF ISSUES OF CONCERN Support Tent City 4 Support the wider church! Support a mission project EVERY month! Share in fellowship... Emergency Feeding Programs Gather for Adult Education..

We assist congregations and individuals through guidance (and sometimes dollars) provided by Church Assist congregations and individuals directly through the guidance (and sometimes dollars) provided by the Church Development Committee, Educational Specialists, and Stewardship. • Refinancing with the Cornerstone Fund • Making Our Churches Safe for All • Pastoral ethics/boundary training?

  10. OUR CHURCHES WIDER MISSION (OCWM) • THE PNCUCC SUPPORTS THE OCWM CAMPAIGN OF THE NATIONAL UCC DENOMINATION AND THROUGH EVERY DOLLAR THEY COLLECT, 70% OF IT STAYS IN THE PNCUCC AND 30% GOES TO THE NATIONAL UCC. 70 Cents goes to PNCUCC 30 Cents goes to the National UCC

National funding supports: • General Ministries (the people who focus on nurturing our wider covenant, and do the major task of representing us to the world, as well as connecting all the threads of “us”) • Local Church Ministries (church development, worship and educational resources and more) • Wider Church Ministries (global ministries with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ); multiracial, multicultural, accessible ministries)

National funding supports: • United Church Foundation and Cornerstone Fund (to exercise our stewardship of resources for strengthening the mission of the church – and the repair, renovation, improvement and expansion of church facilities). • The Pension Boards (administers annuity and retirement, medical & dental health insurance plans, and other ministerial assistance programs for the UCC). • Justice and Witness Ministries (provides information and a call to do justice, seek peace, and build community through public witness, policy advocacy, and issue education).

By attending the Annual Meeting and any other area-wide gatherings. • Participate on a committee or volunteering in any other way in the Conference by letting the Ministry Resource Committee know of your interest.
