  6. IAS Academy • IAS Academy at M.A.M. headed by Dr. P. Suresh Kumar foster the aspirants aiming to become future administrators and contribute towards Nation Building. • The academy acts as a counseling centre & facilitates students to enhance their self esteem and set realistic goals. • Aspirants are trained to evolve right strategy to face the Civil Service exam . • Periodical Face to face interaction with achievers in IAS, IPS, IRS & Banking Service is organized to motivate the aspirants by sharing their success stories. • Career related information is disseminated to target group of students of MAM enabling them to draw their own career graph. At present 30 such aspirants have been identified.

Teaching Process • Initiative taken to frame the syllabus. • Authored soft skill and aptitude books for private circulation. • Incorporated along with the regular academic time table as a subject with a 2.30 hrs time slot for all years. • With a time allocation of an hour and fifteen minutes each for soft skill and aptitude training. Learning Process • First Year: “Day 2 Day English”, a Double Decker Course is tailor made for freshers which aims to open the gates for a reasonable mastery of the English language with Audio Visual Support. • Second Year: “ Know English, Know Success” Excerpts taken from Infosys -Campus Connect Syllabus brings the learners nearer the actual usage of English language giving them immediacy and motivation. • Pre - final Year: “ A Touch Of Transformation” fulfills the purpose of supporting and supplementing the actual usage of the language. • Final Year: “Creating Change Makers” envisages the vital importance of this global language for far reaching purposes by implementing situational conversation in the form of Group discussions, presentations, grooming the students to become industry ready. • For all the years equal importance is duly given to improve the logical and arithmetic ability which is essential to succeed in the initial screening process of recruitment. • Aptitude Text Books Titled: Triple “A” for Success, Stop Blinking & Start Thinking have been issued to students of second year and third year.

  17. Student’s Performance • Assessment based on the In House Curriculum of CDP in the form of periodical tests, GD & Mock Interview for final years. • TESTWALA INDIA: An online aptitude test module to sharpen the arithmetic ability and logical reasoning.

  18. AMCAT: A national assessment test which presents a comprehensive report in determining the employability of students for diverse industries. • E-LAN ASSESSMENT : An effective module created to make students become employable.

  19. Ambience at CDP An Elegant and Conducive environment for Campus Recruitment is established at the Department of CDP. • Spacious G.D Room to accommodate 20 students at a time. • Fully equipped Interview Rooms. • Sophisticated Auditorium.

CDP as an Academic Support Entity • INPLANT TRAINING: Efforts taken in signing MOU’s with industries and organizations for internship programs. • VALUE ADDED COURSES: Certification courses like .NET, java, oracle to enhance the technical knowledge of students MOU’s are signed with Oracle Financial Services, Trident TECHLABS, IIT,Bombay,WIPRO.

  21. CAREER INITIATIVE: To create self reliant individuals an MOU signed with V-Dart a leading IT Solutions organization wherein pre final year students are given opportunity to earn while they learn by being a part of VDart.

Institutional Fortification To create a strong binding between industry and academia the dept. of CDP is well supported by the institution: • MAM in association with CII organized the first placement conclave at Trichy for the benefit of corporate aspiring students. • MAM launched the “Educational Excellence Forum” at its campus for Trichy CII zone.

MAM being either the main sponsor or co sponsor for reputed institution industry platforms organized by ICTACT & CII has enabled good networking paving the way for possible recruitment drives. • Corporate & Industrial Meetings attended by the Institutional head to various organizations has rendered the feasibility of signing the MOU with organisations like Infosys, WIPRO,TCS,EMC2, CEEYES Metal Reclamation Pvt Ltd, GK Industries & so on.

In an attempt to create nation builders a world record event of Rubik Cube was achieved by the first year students of 2012 – 2016 batch which gained entry into Limca World Record. • To gain international exposure and global out reach the vice consul of US consulate was invited to brief on the opportunities for higher education in The US.

  26. An Old Japanese Proverb: “ If one can do it ,You can do it. If none can do it, You must do it” True to the saying The Dept. of CDP has set several laudable objectives and our thrust towards employability of students beyond Curriculum will continue unabated .
