  2. Problem 1 Jcpeney is having a fall sale 40% off women's clothing ,and all the dress cost $50 ,plus 6% for tax . Original priceDiscount dress = $50 50 x .40 = 20 sale = 40% 50 – 20 = 30 tax = 6% 30 x .06 = 1.8 Total = $31.80 30 + 1.8 = $31.80 50-40%+6%=31.80

  3. Problem 2 Target is having a home sale 20% off every indoor and outdoor item . Lisa went online and bought a king size bed for $1500 ,plus 6% tax . Original price Discount Bed = $1,500 1,500 x .20 = 300 Sale = 20% 1,500 – 300 =1200 Tax = 6% 1200 x .06 = 72 Total = $1,272 1200 + 72 = 1,272 1500-20%+6%=1272
