  1. STRATIX/PRICE for Sawing Option to improve pricing flexibility

  2. STRATIX/PRICE for Sawing • Used to automatically compute Time, Cost, and Charge for Sawing • Integrated with Quote/Order Entry Application

  3. Features of STRATIX/Process • Material Process Group • Multiple Times and Costs provided (Set-up, Run, etc.) • Ability to view & modify fixed & variable Time, Cost, & Charge components within Quote/Order Entry application • Re-price, Re-cost, and Compute Functions • Processing Instructions • Customer Processing Discounts • Minimum Profit Percentage • Outside Processing • Zero Charge • Series Processing

  4. Sawing Process Entry

  5. Sawing Pricing • Used to calculate Sawing Time, Cost, and Charge • For each Material Process Group, Sawing Tables can be based on Cross Section Area &/or Wall Thickness (Tubes). • Multiple Sawing Rate Entry Types • Cost and Charge, Cost and Profit, Charge and Profit • Percentage of Metal Charge • Multiple Weight and Cut Brackets • Apply First Bracket • Minimum Cost Amount and Minimum Charge Amount • Series Processing (based on Pieces, Measure, Length, and/or Time)

  6. Rate Entry Types • Cost and Charge • Cost and Profit • Charge and Profit • Percentage of Metal Charge

  7. Sawing Computations • Time = Set-up Time + Run Time + Handling Time • Where Run Time = [(Cross Section Area * Sawing Time Rate) * Number of Cuts] • Cost = Set-up Cost + Run Cost + Fixed Cost + Tooling Cost • Where Run Cost is determined based on Rate Entry Type. • Cost & Profit or Cost and Charge: Cost is given. • Charge & Profit: Cost = Charge (1 – Profit %) • Percentage: Cost = Minimum Cost Amount • Charge is determined based on Rate Entry Type. • Cost & Profit: Charge = Cost / (1 – Profit %) • Cost & Charge or Charge & Profit: Charge is given. • Percentage: Charge = Metal Charge * Percentage

  8. Sawing Computation Example

  9. Apply First Bracket • Used to account for higher costs associated with first set of cuts • Number of Cuts = 8 • Apply First Bracket set to “No” • Cost = $1.00/CUT, Charge = $1.50/CUT • Apply First Bracket set to “Yes” • Cost = (1CUT*$3.00/CUT + 7CUTS*$1.00/CUT) / 8 CUTS = $1.25/CUT • Charge = (1CUT*$3.50/CUT + 7CUTS*$1.50/CUT) / 8 CUTS = $1.75/CUT

  10. Minimum Charge & Minimum Cost Amounts • Example of use of Minimum Charge Amount

  11. Series Processing • Ordered Length > Length Limit • Ordered Measure > Measure Limit • Estimated Processing Time > Time Limit • With Auto Job Creation, used to assign PWG.
