  1. Stroke in Men & Women: Causes, Symptoms & Treatments When your blood vessels in the brain gets damaged and starts to bleed, or when there is any barrier in the supply of blood to the bran then you will suffer a stroke. Stroke is a medical emergency and should be treated as soon as the symptoms occur. The flow of oxygen and blood get blocked from getting in the brain’s tissues because of this damage or blockage.

Types of Stroke There are two kinds of Strokes which are as flows-   Ischemic strokes.  When you suffer a stroke due to the blockage of an artery (or, in exceptional cases, a vein).  Around 87 per cent of all the strokes are termed as ischemic.  Hemorrhagic stroke.  When you suffer a stroke due to oozing out of blood. Around 13 per cent of all strokes are termed as hemorrhagic.

Stroke Symptoms In Men & Women • Below mentioned are some of the major symptoms that are most commonly experienced by the people suffering a stroke-  • Muscle related: trouble in walking, loss of muscle function along with feeble muscles, difficulty in coordinating, rigid muscles, overactive reflexes, or loss of function of the muscle of a side of the body.  • Vision related: hazy vision, double vision, unexpected loss of vision, or momentary loss of vision in an eye.  • Speech related: trouble speaking, indistinct speech, or loss of speech.  • Entire  body: feeling tired, feeling dizzy, or a sudden sensation of spinning (external or internal).  • Limbs: lack of sensation and strength in the limbs • Sensory: tingling or prickling/ decreased sensation of touch.  • Facial: weak or numb muscles.  • Other symptoms: feeling unsteady, trouble gulping down, pain in the head, difficulty to understand things, bewilderment, or fast instinctive movement of the eye.

  4. Causes of A Stroke In A Man & Woman • There are various causes that might lead to a stroke. A few of them are mentioned below-  • Migraines along with Visual Aura like blinking lights, blind spots, unable to focus on things – a risk factor, particularly if this happens in combination with smoking.   • Birth control pills • Inhaling toxic fumes of cigarettes • Over weight • Pregnancy • Certain kinds of birth control pills that are taken orally • Hypertension  • Over fatty person and excess of weight of body • High Blood Sugar • Consuming alcohol in excess amount • Inadequate physical movement

  5. Stroke Prevention • Stroke is a medical emergency; immediate medical help should be taken if any of the above-mentioned symptoms are there. However, there are certain preventive ways by which a person can prevent strokes. The major ways are mentioned below- • A healthy platter • A regular work out plan • Quit smoking • Quit or limit the alcohol intake • These mentioned modifications on your life style may help you in decreasing the risk of problems such as- arteries getting blocked with fatty materials (atherosclerosis) high blood pressure. 

  6. Stroke Recovery & Treatment If the patient gets admitted to the hospital within three hours of the primary symptoms of an ischemic stroke, then the patient may be prescribed a kind of medicine known as a thrombolytic (a “clot-busting” drug) to disintegrate the clots of blood.
