Note checks will take place at the beginning of class and will count as a homework grade • Note-check 1: February 5 (A) / February 8 (B)– 15 points 5 note cards; one source represented • Note-check 2: February 16 (B) / February 17 (A)– 20 points 15 note cards; two sources represented • Note-check 3: February 22 (B) / February 23 (A) – 25 points 25 note cards; two sources represented • FINAL NOTE CARD CHECK: • March 08 (A)/ March 09 (B)– 35 points 35 note cards; three sources represented

  5. Some notes… about notes… • If you find you can easily get more than required note cards for a particular check, do so. • HOWEVER! Be careful that you are writing down the notes from a source that will HELP YOU. • Work to pace yourself to see that you have all 35 by the beginning of March.

  6. MLA format • As you collect an archive of your sources for the HI, you need to document these in MLA format • The TCHS media center page (almost) does the work for you!

  7. MLA format • What if the type of source I have is not on the media center’s help page? • Pocket Style Manual might help (online resource) • This site also details how to complete in text citations.
