  1. The face of Oxford street Instead of a postcard A short while on Oxford Street* , Purim, London 27.3.2005 *Oxford Street is the main shopping street of London Probably one of the leading trade centers of the Western World Yafa Kfir www.yafakfir.co.il

  2. The sun creates patches of light and shadow, illuminating life with bright light. The street is overflowing with people So many people

  3. Every and each is unique, everyone is special, everyday Purim – veryobvious, especially here. My eye catches the different, the beautiful, the strange, the unusual And there is a lot of it in the human river flowing towards me

  4. The sun illuminate sometimes the grey and brightly illuminating life. The well known street with its large shops filled with many commodities, the Mecca of the Western WorldIs bustling with people. So many people. And there are more, getting off the huge busses, emerging from the underground tunnels, disappear within the shops – again and again

  5. And there are more, getting off the huge busses, emerging from the underground tunnels, disappear within the shops – again and again I went hunting – moments and people on the main thoroghfair of England I stood at the street corner My back to sun, facing the human river

  6. So many people, Oh God so many Almost inhuman, these numbers of people And while pushing the camera’s buttons The thoughts and the reflections are flowing

  7. So many people – and in this big city It is so easy to be in solitude So prevalent to be alone It is not difficult to be lonely After all, loneliness is the sickness that its up the city dwellers, The loneliness and the estrangement. A flowing human river, and there is no contact Millions of dots moving around but never create a whole Do not create a thing – just transfer themselves from here to there Anonymity in the flood

  8. So many people – and in this big city It is so easy to be in solitude, So prevalent to be alone, It is not difficult to be lonely .

  9. I stood there taking pictures. Everything happens so fast, it is difficult to catch the moment And this is what I wanted – to catch the moment I take pictures – nobody cares No one notice me I am too an anonymous dot within the multitude Not knowing and unknown

  10. So many people – each one looks differently Totally different and so unlike the other

  11. I loved the strength of the human diversity The multifaceted mosaics of forms and colors

  12. Each person is different Designs himself presenting a different face to the world\ He is unseparated and at the same time separated, different, within this. Bubbling multitude. After standing there, alone, for a while, thus human river is a bit frightening. So many strangers, so many others…. I want to go home…. Taxi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. And thank you for joining me London, March 2005 Yafa Kfir http://www.yafakfir.co.il
