  4. Nutrition and Your Cat Interesting Fact: Cats prefer to eat out of a clean bowl in the same spot every day. Important Tip: Always read the bag of cat food to ensure you are providing your cat with the right amount of food. Cats should be fed twice a day. It is very important not to overfeed your cat or feed your cat people food. Cats don’t get a lot of exercise so if they are overfed they may gain weight. Overweight cats can have all sorts of health problems. 1.

  5. Grooming Your Cat Important Tip: Find a brush that your cat enjoys. Many enjoy wire bristles. Interesting Fact: Grooming your cat provides important bonding for both you and your cat. Cats loved to be groomed. Brushing them will keep their fur clean and free of tangles, especially if you have a long-haired cat. Some cats need to have their ears and eyes cleaned on a regular basis. 2.

They are naturally curious and will find electrical cords, plants, and small objects left laying around. These items are dangerous to cats and should be kept up and out of reach of your cat. 3.

DID YOU KNOW… Cats have 290 bones in their bodies, and 517 muscles. Humans have 206 bones and more than 650 muscles. DID YOU KNOW… A cats normal temperature is 101.5 degrees. This is warmer than humans. The normal temperature of humans is 98.6 degrees. 6.

  9. About The Author Jodi Lee Conrad loves cats. She is the proud owner of a Himalayan named Mr. Oliver Fancy Pants. Oliver is a long haired cat that enjoys snuggling, being brushed, and playing. Oliver has blue eyes and purrs.
