  3. IPv6 • Online IPv6 monitoring • New members: Taiwan • AU has done numerous workshop. Use of 6to4 • Korea will be deploying dual stack. • IPv6 fat pipes are coming

  4. Network storage WG • No. Meeting. Proposed closure as there are other groups, eg. Grid, P2P that covers the area.

  5. P2P WG • Set-up the measurement of P2P storage and servers in APAN. • Emphasis of the group is to provide platform and forum for open discussion on P2P. • Move P2P to User community as it is more on the application then the underlying technology

  6. Measurement WG • Organised a session on measurement. • No WG meeting. • AMP has started in Japan. Working with NLANR.

  7. Multimedia WG • No Meeting at this conference.

  8. Satellite WG • Distance Learning Lectures with USM. • TDMA-DAMA (SingAREN funded, partners, USM, UPM) – 5th Quarter. • VSAT Blower (NTU/TP collaboration with Prof Ong Jin Tiong). • IPv6 Tunneling for TP staff and student network. • Satellite IPv6 performance Measurements (with USM).

  9. Satellite WG • Enhance collaboration through updating members’ activities on WG’s WWW, through information sharing • Update and understand what each of us is doing individually • Web Pages will be completed by Mid September 2002 • Move towards more collaborations and support for distance learning over satellite networks and applications on satellite networks. (Collaborate with EDU and Manufacturing WG and Multimedia WG).

  10. Multimedia WG • No meeting at this conference.

  11. Qos WG • VOIP successful in AU. It has Qos using ToS bits. Supporting for video is been carried out with WFQ and LLQ. • Osaka-NTU project has a dedicated link between the two places. Some projects, eg. MEG, SIBBS. • Internet E2E performance. APAN JP joined Stanford Uni. high energy Physic group. Members should be remote hosts to the server at APAN-JP.
