  1. Cloud Computing - A beginner’s guide What is Cloud Computing? In simple language, cloud computing is the demand-based delivery of various services that include storage, database networking, and software through the internet. Cloud computing has replaced the traditional ways of storing data on hard drives as now the data can be stored in the cloud and accessed as and when required. You specifically pay only for the services that you need leading to low functional cost. Why do we need cloud computing? Cloud computing is a substantial switch from traditionally viewed IT resources. The following are a few reasons why businesses are turning to cloud computing services:

  2. Cost - Before the introduction of cloud computing, companies had to invest in hardware, software, and setting up data centers. However, cloud computing, lets you pay for IT services just as you use them. ● Speed and global scalability - Another reason cloud services are suitable for you is that they can be expanded to any location in the world in minutes and installed. ● Reliability - Cloud computing also backups up the data and helps in continuing operations of the business as the data is copied throughout the cloud provider's network at many other locations. Cloud Applications A Cloud application uses cloud-based services, whether mobile or an online app, it's likely that it uses a Cloud service. The level to which they employ Cloud services is what truly distinguishes a Cloud app from a native app. As cloud applications have become widespread, different types of cloud apps are developed in such a way to meet customer requirements. Types of Cloud Applications 1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - IaaS refers to the service provider that manages and provides you with the infrastructure for your company. This includes servers, networks, and virtualization. 2. Software as a Service (SaaS) - SaaS is the most common type of cloud application. SaaS is a kind of cloud app that delivers software applications over the internet. These programs run on third-party hardware rather than the user's own devices, and their software is hosted remotely as well. 3. Platform as a Service (PaaS) - This type of Cloud Application Development runs on the application code from the client's side. It offers an environment for the developers making it easy for them to develop, test, and manage software applications. Organizations can use cloud computing for their business in different ways and when it comes to cloud service providers, primarily, Amazon is the leading company offering cloud computing services. Given the demand for this technology and its potential, the market is now flooded with many cloud computing service providers, including Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
