New feature within Community that:

  • Enables license enforcement for community functionality
  • Uses FlexLM integration to check for user license counts
  • Administrative abilities: to manage & view license usage within the community farm
  • Supports ability to bulk load licenses
  • Supports adding LDAP groups to license list
  • Combines existing Service Level lists with the new License list to provide a single point of configuring a user’s access

Attempt to access Community specific functionality receive a message that they do not have a license to access the functionality and are provided a link to request the required license

Central Admin License List:

  • User’s request entered into a Central Administration list
  • By default request will be granted for immediate access to the functionality
    • Default status can be modified - requests can be designated as Pending or Inactive upon request
    • Administrator then can activate licenses to allow access
  • Once a user has been granted an active license they have access to ALL Community functionality
