There are 2 parts to 6.5.1 Release Notes/Domino Family in January, 2004 Extended Products in March, 2004

Themes of the 6.5.1 Release-Usability • All products in the extended product release will be synchronized(tested & supported) with N/D 6.5.1 • Products will support four common platforms: • iSeries; Windows; AIX; Solaris • We will continue to support the other Domino platforms • LVC 6.5.1 will be available in May 2004 only on Win2003 • Two common browsers: IE & Mozilla • Domino Doc Manager will only be available on IE • LVC 6.5.1 will only be available on IE • Support for all Group 1 languages • As well as most Group 2 languages

Themes of the 6.5.1 Release-Usability • Updated & new portlets, sample “Lotus Workplace” portal page with documentation • The extended products will not necessarily synchronize each Domino 6.5.x MRs. • They will all be tested with each MR (6.5.2, 6.5.3, etc..) but unless there are code changes to the extended products they will remain at version 6.5.1 • Improved approach to product support • Dedicated issue diagnosis teams

Themes of the 6.5.1 Release - Interoperability • All 6.5.1 extended products are tested together and supported • to work with Domino 6.5.1 platform and current Websphere Portal 5.02 release • Represents an integrated approach to testing • Coordination among releases • helps reduce your testing of individual products and their applications to run on same version of the Domino server • Messaging & collaboration platform combines elements of Websphere Portal & Lotus Collaborative components • messaging, calendar and scheduling, on-line awareness, meetings, chat, workflow, document management, and content management • Improved documentation • serialized install & config instructions with troubleshooting guidelines
