Case studies • Illustrate how new and existing staff could be supported to develop into the role of RGSW using the Orkney model • Each of the three case studies gives examples of: • induction • assessment of capability • education • ongoing learning and development • Communication, support and supervision common to all • SVQ assessor • a workplace mentor: support learning and development and facilitate communication with other health and social care staff with whom the RGSW would need to liaise with and who would be delegating work and assessing competencies
